Hi everyone, wow it's been a while, but now there are finally things to announce! Firstly, gigs. I have a solo Pettaluck gig at Peggy Sue's in Leigh on Sea on the 23rd October, so excited about that, they will be old songs and new and it will be my first outing without a band locally so a big deal. It starts at 5pm though so be sure to get there early.
I'm also appearing at the Fisherman's Chapel in Leigh as part of Diana Collier's backing band on Saturday 16th for her long anticipated album launch, and I will be back at Peggy Sue's on the 13th November as part of Sunfish Starfish, a new noise project I have started with Steve O'Malley (The Spermaceti Organ).
I'm also running a fun music class for preschooler's on Halloween at Jacqson Diego bookshop and returning to private music tuition at Allegro Music Academy, which has put a merry spring in my step.
Over the summer I was asked to provide a thirty minute film as part of a proposed online album launch for the wonderful Gary Wilkinson. He has since decided to abandon this project so I will be splitting my contribution down into a series of short films. The first one of these you can enjoy below, it's a new video for 'Get Undressed filmed by my dear friends Steven Paul, Gary Smith and Anne Valance in Southend highstreet. The second video will be about a trip I took to the woods, where I attempted to charm deer out from the undergrowth with the power of my flute. It features the new song 'Fingers' which will be on an upcoming split album with the legendary Toxic Chicken. The film will feature on the Culture as a Dare You Tube channel from the 23rd October.
Recording has also wrapped on the Rock Garden of Chandigarh album and a completely improvised EP, both of which we hope to bring you ASAP.
